ABSTRACT
This project work deal with effect of divorce and family organization on the academic performance of students in some selected schools in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State. The purpose of the study is to identify the effect of divorce on the academic performance of students in secondary schools. In pursuance of the study certain problems, which required solutions were identified and they are;
1. Students from broken homes suffer a lot of psychological and emotional disturbance, which leads to academic and social backwardness in schools.
2. Insecurity and unrolling attitude of stepparents to those students leads to them steak items that do not belong to them in school.
